This policy explains how the official Archeus website handles information when you visit the site, join the mailing list, follow an external link, or contact Archeus by email.
Who is responsible
Archeus is responsible for the information described in this policy. Questions or requests can be sent to archeus.metal.us@gmail.com. Archeus does not publish a postal address on this website or privacy page.
Website and hosting data
The site is hosted by IONOS. Like most hosting providers, IONOS may process technical request, security, and error information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as an IP address, request time, requested page, browser information, referring page, and security or error-log data. Archeus uses this information only to operate, secure, diagnose, and maintain the website.
Mailing list
The mailing-list form asks only for your email address. Subscriptions are operated through Buttondown, LLC, which may also process signup and confirmation times, subscription status, IP address, referrer-level information, and technical information used to prevent abuse. Buttondown processes this information to record double opt-in consent, deliver messages, manage subscriptions and unsubscribes, and handle delivery failures. See Buttondown’s privacy policy.
An address remains unactivated and receives no campaigns until its owner follows the confirmation link. Archeus uses the list only for occasional messages about new music, videos, studio work, artwork, and major announcements. Open tracking, click tracking, transactional tracking, UTM tagging, archive analytics, and the public newsletter archive are disabled. You can withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in a message or by emailing Archeus. A minimal suppression record may be retained when needed to prevent an unsubscribed address from being added again accidentally.
Contact by email
The site does not use a general contact form. If you email archeus.metal.us@gmail.com, Archeus receives your email address, message, and anything you attach or choose to include. Email is handled through Gmail, a Google service, and is used to read and respond to the inquiry and retain any record reasonably needed for the conversation or an applicable obligation.
External links
The site links directly to Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and Buttondown. These services operate under their own terms and privacy practices. The Archeus site does not load their players, social feeds, advertising code, or newsletter scripts before you choose a link or submit the mailing-list form.
Cookies, storage, and analytics
Archeus has not added public-facing analytics or advertising cookies. The standard mailing-list form loads no Buttondown script or iframe when the page first appears. After submission, Buttondown-hosted validation, spam-prevention, confirmation, or subscriber-management pages may use essential security and functional storage under Buttondown’s policies. WordPress and IONOS may use essential administration, security, or maintenance functions, particularly for signed-in administrators; public visitors do not need an account.
Retention and your choices
Mailing-list information is retained until you unsubscribe, the list is closed, or the address is otherwise removed, subject to any minimal suppression record needed to honor an unsubscribe. Hosting and contact records are retained only as long as reasonably needed for operation, security, correspondence, or an applicable obligation. Depending on where you live, you may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, or withdraw consent. Send requests to archeus.metal.us@gmail.com. Archeus may need to verify that a request comes from the person connected with the information.
Changes and contact
This policy may be updated when the website, mailing list, providers, or applicable requirements change. The revised date will appear above. For privacy questions, email archeus.metal.us@gmail.com and do not send sensitive information that is not needed for the request.
